I was at Freedom Plaza yesterday. I couldn't tell how many people were there, but it was a lot. The whole plaza was packed from curb to curb, and the closer you got to the stage, the denser it became (shoulder to shoulder). The closest I could get to the stage was were the TV cameras were set up. I took lots of pictures and I will be sending them in to Igor Is Alive!
I also attended the Freedom Works Summit in the Ronald Reagan Building. The panels were great with a lot of very good information. They announced that it was between 25-50 thousand people there.

The Leftoids are typically incapable of reasoned argument or using truth or facts to support their positions. Therefore they attack what they fear with smears, lies and completely fabricated stories and we've seen them from the left and repeated as ''news'' by the press whores and the late night comic jerks!
There is nothing more pathetic than the downfall of a comedian who stayed around long after his prime. .
I'll tell you what's happened, old comics, like old entertainers of any stripe, have to remain relevant and hip no matter the cost to their dignity or their art (so-called). I've seen it happen so many times it's just not funny (no pun intended). Right now he's competing against Conan (for the job he had wanted all along) and losing in the late night ratings race. So to compete he's scraping the bottom of the barrel with his jokes. And don't give me the "writers wrote the joke, I just deliver them" shtick, we know he's got creative control. He's a loser and he's bitter.
What's the choice? A breath of fresh air like Sarah Palin or bitter, hateful people like Letterman? That's no contest for me and for a lot of others.

Sarah Palin is planning to attend the joint House-Senate fund raising dinner tonight, according to sources familiar with her schedule, ending a back and forth between the vice presidential nominee and the two congressional campaign committees that goes back for months. Palin's appearance is one of several stops she will make while in the nation's capital. She has also taped an interview with Fox News Channel's Sean Hannity that is set to run this evening.

Why should Sarah Palin take a back seat? She has just as much executive experience, if not more so, than Mitt Romney, and she hasn't had to redefine her principles to govern the state she has governed.
Newt, Palin, Steele, Romney, etc are all fighting to be the last one standing when this country falls apart so they can become the new leader. I don't think that's a good strategy. I would rather they get together with a strategic plan to stop the fall of the USA now.

People who buy into the media's trash about Gov. Palin are only buying the media Kool-Aid and are captiulating to a leftist bully scheme. Educate the people around you about Gov. Palin and be unafraid to stand up for her or any other Republican you find speaks for you. That goes for Mitt Romney as well, if he's your cup of tea; too many Evangelicals refused to vote for a Mormon.

Maybe it's because conservative ideas are realistically possible. You can't spend your way to prosperity and everyone can't be on welfare. That's a sobering concept to the Obama Koolaid drinkers..... I think Wanda's comments were entirely appropriate. Most journalists adore Obama and his policies. Most journalists agree with Wanda's sentiment. Pres. Obama seemed to enjoy it. The vicious and hateful tone is totally in keeping with the nature and demeanor of the left wing of the Democratic Party. I'm glad she spoke her mind and I'm glad everyone there seemed in agreement. This is the ironic part, if LIMBAUGH had said it about ANYONE else, he would be a hate mongerer, a smear merchant, insensitive, and the ACLU would be calling for his head on a platter...BUT an openly gay comedienne spews hate, and as usual takes the Limbaugh comment out of context, and we are fine with it???!!! Not to mention Obama, the uniter's response, which is offensive in itself...Liberals want acceptance, but they don't want to play fair, they want us to accept their views and ideas as normal, and not debate, but if anyone disagrees, it is an automatic OPPOSAL of them personally, they are thin skinned to say the least, and need to realize that more than half of America does not WANT their change, if Bush had not been pushed down by the Lib media, Obama would have been crushed, he is a rock star, not a leader, and his "meetings" with sports teams, Sean Penn, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, etc. prove their hunger for fame outweigh his support of his country!

If My Guy Wins, Or If Your Guy Wins

No one is happy to be in Iraq. But a premature pullout will allow Iran and Al-Queda to move in.Whether or not you like the war, the "Obama plan" is a recipe for disaster. A pullout will mean victory for Iran and Osama and it won't stop there. Where will the next stop be? New York City? Washington DC?
If McCain wins it will give the conservatives in the House and Senate the opportunity to be Mavericks, and hold his feet to the fire... At least if McCain wins it will keep the system intact.

The Democrats Caused the Financial Meltdown!!!

There is something genuinely sickening about seeing Barney Frank and Nancy Pelosi and Reid and the others trying to stick President Bush and the Republicans with the blame for the financial meltdown that has put the American taxpayer in hock for the problem they created.
I am genuinely baffled by the Republican's refusal to place the blame squarely where it belongs when speaking to the American People. I detect a serious lack of cojones.
I just don't see McCain shoving this down the dems throats as he is too much a gentleman and wants to be seen as a peacemaker and bipartisan. McCain is going to screw around and blow this election which he has been handed on a silver platter. He and RNC have been given tons of opportunities and have failed to use them. One month to election and it is getting to be too late to turn the tide.

Crowds turn out for Palin where ever she goes.

McCain drew loud applause, first at a morning appearance in the downtown of a quaint, Republican-leaning Wisconsin village and then at a more-boisterous amphitheater rally here in Michigan’s working-class Macomb County. Yet it was Palin who many, especially women, in both crowds were thrilled to see up close just days after she exploded onto the national political scene. Clutching signs with messages such as “Girl Power” and “Sarah Is My American Idol,” moms and their daughters lined the barricades just outside The Chocolate Shop in Cedarburg, Wisconsin that served as the backdrop for the rally. The women said they had come to see both members of the new Republican ticket, but couldn’t fake it when asked who they were more excited to lay eyes on. “Sarah!” a small group of them yelled .
Meghan Groppe, 12, of Cedarburg explained the enthusiasm. “Because if they get voted in she’ll be the first lady vice-president,” Groppe said, flashing a smile missing a few teeth. More expansive but similarly enthusiastic was Cheryl Hauswirth of nearby Grafton, Wisconsin. “She's a real women, she's a real feminist but she's not strident—she's like us,” said Hauswirth, a middle-aged mother who didn’t offer her age. “She’s strong, powerful and opinionated, all the things a women should be while still retaining her femininity, her womanhood.” If McCain was bothered by his number two stealing some of his thunder, he didn’t show it. Rather, he seemed to revel in the seeming affirmation of his risky selection of a political unknown. “Isn’t this the most marvelous running mate in the history of this nation?” he enthused to the thousands of Wisconsin voters who jammed an intersection just down the block from the Rivoli Theater where the marquee welcomed the new Republican ticket. When he asked how many in the audience saw her speech, nearly every hand went up along with a rousing cheer. “She has done so much already to lift the spirits and morale of people all over this country,” McCain said, but he could have been easily talking about what the Alaska governor and overnight sensation on the Right has done for his own candidacy.
Sounds like the Dems have a mess on their hands...hehe... Now they will have to run two campaigns.. One against McCain, and one against Palin. Right now, they are staying away from Palin so not to get off of message. But they will have to soon. They think they can just send out some old female liberal hags to deal with Palin... Won't work. She is more exciting and dynamic than any of the these Democratic women like you know who!

Obama brings out his Hollywood buddies

An unprecedented number of Hollywood personalities and rock stars being lined to play a role in the Denver convention, where Mr Obama will formally receive the party's nomination at the end of the month.
The decision to let some of them take to the centre stage is a calculated gamble by Mr Obama to stick to his guns in courting the celebrity vote. It comes after his Republican rival John McCain landed a telling blow last week, mocking him as the "Paris Hilton" of the White House race in a so-called "attack ad".
Mr Obama's strategists have concluded that the publicity gains from rubbing shoulders with actors like George Clooney, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon will outweigh the risks of appearing lightweight.
The list of those approved for credentials to attend the event includes the actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who recently filmed a campaign advertisement for Mr Obama, who is expected to bring her friend Madonna.
Hollywood royalty, including Quentin Tarantino, Spike Lee, Warren Beatty, Susan Sarandon, Forrest Whitaker and Scarlett Johansson, will also be in Denver, as well as singers Kanye West and Wyclef Jean. Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones may also put in an appearance.
It is a high risk strategy in a country where Hollywood is associated with the liberal values despised by many in Middle America.

Lets Accomodate the Muslims

A new contract approved by members of the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union at the Shelbyville, Tenn., plant last November includes the change to accommodate Muslim workers.
"The negotiating committee made the holiday a top priority in contract talks," the union's Alabama and Mid-South Council Representative Randy Hadley said in a statement issued in June. "And we were able to get management to commit to it."
The change, which does not affect the company's 118 other plants, exchanges Labor Day for the Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan. The new contract, negotiated last fall, also gives Muslim workers a prayer room.
"Eid al-Fitr is one of eight paid holidays for all team members covered by the contract, while Labor Day is not a paid holiday," Gary Mickelson, Tyson's media relations director, told the Shelbyville Times-Gazette.
But Tyson spokeswoman Libby Lawson told FOXNews.com that employees who are not a member of the union at that plant would still be eligible for Labor Day as a paid holiday.
The seven additional paid holidays are the employee's birthday, New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas, Mickelson said.
"Given the nature of our work, many, many, many times we have to work holidays anyway, and Labor Day is usually one of those holidays that our workers have to work," Lawson said. "And, of course, they are paid holiday pay when they have to work any holiday that is recognized at our facility."
Tyson officials said that approximately 250 of the plant's 1,200 employees are Somalis who entered the United States as political refugees. Most, if not all, are believed to be Muslim — among them, Abdillahi Jama.
"This new contract is good because it allows me to work on the second shift and still pray when I need to," Jama said in the union's press release. "It’s very important to us, and the Eid is one of our most sacred holidays. It shows how the union helps us."
Lawson said that the Shelbyville plant is one of a handful that have designated prayer areas that can be used by groups of all faiths.
News of the holiday change has prompted some anger on local Web message boards, with some writings urging readers to contact the AFL-CIO and boycott Tyson products.

1. Barack Obama spent 20 years sitting in church while his preacher and others bad-mouthed the United States of America. Navy pilot John McCain spent five years being tortured in the Hanoi Hilton, and refused a chance to walk out ahead of fellow POWs with more seniority.

2. Obama wants to cut and run from Iraq regardless of conditions on the ground or future consequences. McCain took on the president and secretary of defense in demanding more troops for Iraq, a policy that is inarguably winning the war. He also has two sons who fought in Iraq.

3. McCain supports nuclear power. Obama backs wind energy.

4. Obama wants restrictive gun control because only economically depressed middle-Americans “cling to God and guns.” McCain unwaveringly supports the Second Amendment.

5. McCain has deviated from his party’s conservative base on several occasions (McCain-Feingold Bill, Gang of 14, McCain-Kennedy Bill, opposition to torture). Obama has voted the left-wing line every single time, and been designated the most liberal Senator in Congress.

6. Obama is willing to meet with hostile state leaders like Ahmadinejad and Hugo Chavez without preconditions. McCain will set conditions first, talk later .

7. Obama is married to a bitter, angry lawyer who became “proud” of her country for the first time this year. McCain’s wife is a beer heiress who founded an organization to provide MASH-style units to disaster-torn world regions. Did I mention that she’s a beer heiress?

8. Obama supports higher taxes for a government-run nanny state that will coddle all Americans like babies. McCain trusts people to spend their less-taxed money however they wish.

9. The name John McCain sounds like “John McClain,” the action hero played by Bruce Willis in the manly Die Hard series. “Barack Obama” sounds like the kind of elitist villain John McClain has to outwit and defeat.

10. McCain is endorsed by Clint Eastwood, Sylvester Stallone, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Obama gets support from Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hanks, and every weenie in Hollywood. Plus, Susan Sarandon has vowed to leave the country if McCain gets elected.

We're still in denial about the threat from radical Islam

Yes, the threat of radical Islam is very serious. Heaven forbid, there is a dirty bomb detonated in New Yor, or Washington or in London or another big city, then both sides of the political chasm that has opened up with George Bush and the war, will feel vindicated.
The Right will say, look we've been warning you for years and you've been in denial and accusing us of hysteria. Now you see there is a real threat and our police and intelligence agencies were not up to the mark.
The Left, on the other hand, will continue to claim that the Right caused this bombing with their war on terror and their unjust fear of Musulims and that the bombing however terrible will be justified.
The threat to the USA from radical Islam is very serious.

It’s All Over, The Liberals Officially Have Taken Over Hollywood and Television

It is over. Conservatives will no longer have even a single show on network television anymore.
Not. Even. One. And the same goes for Hollywood. It really is a shame.
Have you noticed that Liberals make and promote and distribute films about assassinating Ptesident Bush sex with animals, and sympathizing with child molesters and they call that "art".
A conservative is marked a racist for even thinking of the idea of making a picture about race..
When a show is about a black person, there is always diversity of skin color and nationality and sex espoused by the left, but never diversity of thought and ideology.
I used to love to watch the TV show “24″, but I began to lose interest over the course of last season as the show grew more liberal over the course of the season, when the storylines just got more and more annoying. The President’s sister’s ranting was grating on my nerves so much that I wanted Jack to put a bag over her head to shut her up as he did with his brother who was helping the terrorists.
What has happened in Hollywood? Can a industry really survive telling its customers they are stupid if they agree with the president of the United States?
This is another reason why I never watch any Award Shows any longer and why their ratings drop every year. Ratings dropped by a third compared to last year’s. And they continue to drop year after year.
I have to tell you that I was really happy when the writers were out on strike. I was able to watch some of my good old favorite old movies.

I Will Vote For John McCain. If You Don't Want To, Then So Be it

Some diehard conservatives like Sean Hannity, Rush, Coulter etc probably will not endorse John McCain. I say, too bad!

I have no problems with John McCain and even if I did, I'll be damned if I would EVER vote for Hillary Clinton OR barack Obama.

McCain has made a few blunders, but he also has been saying some of the right things.

McCain is pro life, pro military, pro America, strong on the Second Amendment ,strong on the WOT, supports lower taxes and vows to appoint justices to the USSC who will follow the Constitution. And still that's not good enough. The so called base still needs to be soothed and comforted like the tantrum throwing babies they have come to be. But, they'll never be satisfied no matter what McCain does. Now, they're whining because he's trying to take the "High Road" . Give me a break. Go vote for whoever you want to, but don't come back whining when Obama the Commie is elected because you wanted to "sit it out" like a cry baby just because the man you wanred did not get the nomination.

I will vote for John McCain, Melanoma and all.

Wright Is Wrong

Wright is wrong. He is racist and uses his religion as an attack on all whites as if we can be lumped together. Obama's continued support of this weirdo leaves me to question Obama's integrity. I listened to Wright at a recent event and his words are destructive. He is angry and wants to blame the white person for all of the woes for those blacks who need a scapegoat. Say what you will, I know where Hillary stands when it comes to racism. She knows there is no place for it under any disguise. Obama is a chicken and continues to show his inexperience and arrogance by his statements. People still nedd to hear him and Clinton debate. I heard this weekend many people discuss the need for more information on just who is Obama. All he seems to declare is change. The only change we need is to have Hillary as President to get our country and our dignity back. Obama is so clueless as to how to attain this and his speeches prove this. He is nothing but empty promises and rhetoric.

Hillary Clinton's TV spot was the first Democratic ad to make pictorial reference to the al-Qaida terrorist. It was about time.
How much the ad helped Clinton achieve her impressive victory in the Pennsylvania primary is hard to tell. It was a vague message touting her ability to deal with emergencies and cited a variety of them -- the 1929 stock market crash, the Cuban missile crisis and Hurricane Katrina, as well as the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11.
What's clear is that the ad itself wasn't as effective a pitch for Clinton as was the indignant response of Barack Obama's surrogates. An Obama spokesman condemned the spot as "the politics of fear."
If Obama's supporters want to argue that their candidate can better handle these challenges than Clinton, then fine, they should do so. But for some unfathomable reason, they insist on drumming Osama bin Laden out of polite Democratic conversation, such as there is any these days.
The day after Pennsylvania, The New York Times ran a nutty editorial, "The Low Road to Victory," that bashed Clinton for waving "the bloody shirt of 9-11." Oh, is referring to the event that obliterated the World Trade Center -- still a blank in Lower Manhattan -- an irrational demagogic appeal to old grievances? (One suspects that the Times regrets its endorsement of Clinton in the New York primary, especially since she became unfashionable in fancy circles.)
An enduring fear of terrorism may help explain a remarkable SurveyUSA poll that shows Obama virtually tied with McCain in Massachusetts. In super-liberal Massachusetts!
Obama is unelectable. Voters will not ignore Obama's 20 year relationship with anti-American racist “Rev.” Wright, what to say of Obama's friendly relationship with the known and unrepentant terrorist William Ayers. When you put the ideas supported by Wright and Ayers together, one has to question Obama's judgment in his choice of friends. When the poor judgment and possible ulterior motives behind these relationships are considered, it begs question of ‘what could Obama’s agenda for America be?’ Just how would Obama deal with the known enemies of America and its allies such as al-Qaeda or Hamas when his habits with past associations would indicate these as like-minded friends? Now consider Obama’s ‘Politics of Hope’ which is a complete sham when he guts the real concerns of voters with his condescending and elitist rhetoric; stereotyping the working class of Pennsylvania and the whole country as xenophobic bigots obsessed with religion and guns.

Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean said Thursday that swing voters participating in focus groups commissioned by the D.N.C. bring up John McCain's age unprompted. "We didn't bring it up, but they volunteered it," said Dean who explained that voters have two concerns about McCain's age. "One was a health concern, the other was, and this is really interesting . . . that his views are old-fashioned."

Well, Dr. Dean's bordering on insanity worries ME, not to mention his two candidates (PIAPS & Hussein-Obama) who are fighting to be the nominee for his party who also have me worried

Hillary Rotten Clinton has virtually no chance of winning.

One big fact has largely been lost in the recent coverage of the Democratic presidential race: Hillary Clinton has virtually no chance of winning. Her own campaign acknowledges there is no way that she will finish ahead in pledged delegates. That means the only way she wins is if Democratic superdelegates are ready to risk a backlash of historic proportions from the party’s most reliable constituency. Unless Clinton is able to at least win the primary popular vote — which also would take nothing less than an electoral miracle — and use that achievement to pressure superdelegates, she has only one scenario for victory. An African-American opponent and his backers would be told that, even though he won the contest with voters, the prize is going to someone else.
People who think that scenario is even remotely likely are living on another planet

My Problem With Obama

In a speech today Tuesday, March 18th, in Philadelphia, Sen. Barack Obama will attempt to diffuse the controversy over remarks made by his long-time preacher, Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Aides say Obama will make a larger case for what his presidential candidacy represents, moving beyond the race discussions of the past.

My problem with this entire thing is that it on the surface what Obama is saying is that we have to understand that this type of rhetoric is common in black churches and therefore, acceptable..again I see this as causing more divide. I like a church where all are welcome. It is not okay for blacks and it is not okay for whites to believe and preach racial superiority. IT JUST ISN'T. No one would ever try to defend a church for saying hateful things against blacks. It isn't acceptable for a Protestant or Catholic church to say GOD DAMN AMERICA...therefore it should not be acceptable for a black church. Obama's attempt to rationalize this rhetoric only angers me more. America wants change...they want to grow not go backwards and this rhetoric is taking America backwards.

Support for war effort highest since 2006

American public support for the military effort in Iraq has reached a high point unseen since the summer of 2006, a development that promises to reshape the political landscape. According to late February polling conducted by the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press, 53 percent of Americans — a slim majority — now believe “the U.S. will ultimately succeed in achieving its goals” in Iraq. That figure is up from 42 percent in September 200.
Maybe because the surge is working thanks to McCain's support. McCain put his Presidential Candidacy on the line to support the General. KUDOS to McCain for being a true and courageous leader.
